Officer Edwin Morris -
Officer Edwin Morris – Officer Morris graduated from South Dearborn High School in Aurora, Indiana.
He worked as a Loss Prevention Agent for Bigg’s hypermarket from 1992 to 1996 and handled over 450 theft
cases in that time period. Officer Morris began his career in law enforcement in 1996 with the Warsaw
Police Department in Warsaw, Kentucky. He graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training
(Police Academy) at Eastern Kentucky University in April of 1997. In June of 1998 he became a Deputy Sheriff
for the Gallatin County Sheriffs Department, and in October 1999 Officer Morris started with the Edgewood
Police Department. Officer Morris was the police K-9 handler from September 2001 till January 2006 at which
time his partner “Tamar” retired. Currently Officer Morris is the department’s firearms instructor and a field
training officer. Officer Morris received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and an Associates degree
in Criminal Justice from Thomas More College in 2006. He is also a member of The Masonic Lodge “Tadmor” #108 and a member of the FOP Lodge #20.
