Sergeant Jason Grigsby
was selected to join the Edgewood Police Department in July of 2001. He was promoted to sergeant in 2005. Sergeant Grigsby obtained his associate and baccalaureate degree’s in Criminal Justice from Northern Kentucky University in 2006 and 2008. Sergeant Grigsby completed his master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2011.Sergeant Grigsby under general supervision of the chief of police, directs and leads subordinates in enforcing state laws and local ordinances for the Edgewood Police Department. Supervises the scheduling and coordinating of shift activities. Reviews a variety of police reports prepared by subordinate officers. Assists in development and implementation of policies and procedures. Sergeant Grigsby’s leadership positions include project manager for Kentucky Highway Safety, project manager for Kentucky Justice Cabinet Training, project manager for accreditation, and obtained over $20,000 in funding from grant writing since 2010. |
