Lieutenant Rob Bayer -
Lieutenant Bayer began his career in law enforcement in 1992 with the City of Edgewood.
He was promoted to sergeant in 1997 and was promoted to lieutenant in 2004.
He serves in the position of Assistant Chief, and his duties and responsibilities include:
scheduling officer's shifts, assignments, and training; internal affairs investigations;
media relations spokesperson; police mountain bike patrols supervisor;
and coordinating the field-training program for new officers. He is a graduate of the
212th session of the FBI National Academy and has received advanced training through the
Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Lt. Bayer is currently pursuing a degree in
Criminal Justice at Thomas More College.
