01/03/07: Equipment Drill

Instructor: Jonathan Wylie

This Drill will focus on the various pieces of equipment that are commonly carried on a BLS ambulance. This drill will consist of 2 hours on hands on hours. Participants will work in groups of two to three EMT's with one as a patient. Crews will rotate through different stations until all are encountered.

01/24/07: Terrorism – Explosive and Incendiary Weapons

The objectives of this course will be to list types of explosives, describe pre-detonation and post-detonation, determining evacuation distances, and evidence preservation. This class will incorporate classroom presentations, pre-test, visual learning, table-top group exercises and post-testing.

• This class is part 3 of 6 for Terrorism. The objectives of this course will be to define chemical terrorism, list four chemical agents, dissemination tactics, and resources available. • This class will be entirely hands-on training. The Greater Cincinnati Decon Trailer will be set up in the apparatus bays and decon lines will be established. Each student will be given the opportunity to take part in the process.
